Quick Quick Slow

He approached producer, Joe Scott Parkinson who by amazing coincidence had also seen Quick Quick Slow in Birmingham and was at that time thinking of reviving it himself. Perfect timing! Julian and Monty rewrote the show, with the approval of David Turner's estate and the expectation is a producton within the next twelve months.

The show is set in the Midlands in the Seventies. Arthur Bradshaw and his wife Betty are the nouveau riche owners of a gents hairdressing establishment and a boutique. Their daughter Linda wants to be a top competition ballroom dancer. Arthur sees this as an opportunity to open the biggest night club in the Midlands on the back of Linda's fame. To further his plans, he must find Linda a dancing partner with the necessary status to shortcut the way to the national ballroom competitions. Enter Norman Wentworth a working class lad further up the ballroom competition scale.

Father brings the two young people together presuming he can control events and dump Norman when the competitions have been won. But Linda and Norman fall in love and leave poor Arthur's machiavellian plans in tatters.
